Today we put on the gloves and tore into owl pellets. The kids were totally fascinated. Several found rodent skulls in their pellets. On Thursday we will be sorting and identifying the bones we found.
The DPHS Science Club will be with us tomorrow morning. They are teaching the kids about density. The hands-on science lab will take place first thing with our class and Mr. Potter’s class.
I know several of you have already completed your volunteer paperwork and I’ve been able to put you to work!
If anyone would like to work from home, I’d love to have a parent organize the book orders from Scholastic. (I’m not allowed to touch any money/checks.) I’d also be able to use help prepping materials.
Our fall harvest party will be on the 30th at 1:30ish after the costume parade. I’d love some help putting this together!
If you are brave, I need four more parents to join Mrs. Turner in chaperoning our field trip to the symphony on Nov. 10.
